My family was in real estate, they ran their own office in Dee Why on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. My future wife to be, her family owned multiple offices from Freshwater, Balgowlah to Manly. I was surrounded by real estate agents! Dinner table conversations escalated from how was your day to who did the biggest deal, in a matter of minutes. How could I not do real estate?
Fast forward to when I was 24, I was newly married and it was time for a career. It was time to become a Licensed Real Estate Agent and Accredited Auctioneer. For more than 10 years, I honed my skills in negotiations, learnt to reinvent the wheel during the GFC in 2009/2010 and outmanoeuvre the new industry additions when the market was hot.
In 2016, after training with a number of Auctioneers, of whom I look up to and highly respect, I won my first award. The LJ Hooker NSW Novice Auctioneer Award, taking me to the Australasian Finals in Cairns, where I competed with the best within the network. It was time to start calling...
